RGV Road to Recovery Services

Recovery is a lived experience of improved life quality and a sense of empowerment; that the principles of recovery focus on the central ideas of hope, choice, freedom and aspiration that are experienced rather than diagnosed and occur in real life settings rather than in clinical settings. Recovery is a process rather than an end state, with the goal being an ongoing quest for a better life. (David Best & Alexandre Laudet, 2019)

4 key dimensions that contribute to recovery. Addiction treatment must address all four dimensions of health—home, purpose, and community—through a holistic approach.

Eight dimensions of wellness: social, environmental, physical, emotional, spiritual, occupational, intellectual, and financial.

RGV Road to Recovery is a program designed to provide support and resources for individuals who are seeking recovery from addiction or substance abuse. The program aims to provide a comprehensive approach to recovery by offering counseling, therapy, support groups, and other services. It focuses on helping individuals develop coping skills, improve their overall well-being, and maintain long-term sobriety. The specific services offered may vary depending on the location and organization running the program.
