Welcome: Freedom in Christ – RGV 12-Step Teen Recovery
Why you are here
If you are here, it probably means you are struggling with something that feels bigger than you—addiction, compulsive behavior, secret habits, or deep pain. You are not here by accident. God sees you, knows you, and loves you. Jesus Christ is not afraid of your mess. He came to seek and save the lost, to heal the brokenhearted, and to set captives free.
What this course is about
This course walks through the RGV Road to Recovery 12 Steps and 12 Traditions from a fully Christ-centered perspective. You will learn how to bring your struggle to Jesus, how to walk in honesty and community, and how to rely on the Holy Spirit for real change. This is not about pretending to be perfect; it is about learning to live as a loved son or daughter of God in the middle of the battle.
How this works
- You will go through 12 Steps, each with a lesson, a short quiz, and a personal assignment.
- You will see Scripture in every step, pointing you to Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit.
- You are invited to be honest—with God, with yourself, and with safe people.
- You will be reminded often of Traditions like unity, confidentiality, servant leadership, and Christ-centered community.
Important truths as you begin
- Jesus already knows everything about you and still chose the cross for you.
- God the Father calls you loved, wanted, and worth rescuing.
- The Holy Spirit is able to comfort, convict, and empower you to change.
- You do not have to walk this journey alone—God uses His people to help.
Prayer
“Lord Jesus, I don’t have everything figured out, but I am here. I bring You my struggles, my fears, and my questions. Please meet me in this course. Father, show me Your love. Holy Spirit, open my heart and help me to be honest and willing. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
