These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the RGV Road to Recovery IA website, online courses, meetings, forms, communications, educational materials, referral resources, and related services.
By accessing this website, registering for an account, enrolling in a course, submitting a form, participating in a meeting, making a donation, or otherwise using our resources, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website, create an account, submit personal information, or participate in our online services.
1. About RGV Road to Recovery IA
RGV Road to Recovery IA, also known as Receive God’s Vision, is a Christ-centered recovery ministry and nonprofit organization.
Our mission is to provide Scripture-integrated recovery education, encouragement, mentoring, relapse-prevention resources, family support, referrals, and opportunities for community connection.
References in these terms to “RGV Road to Recovery IA,” “RGV,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to RGV Road to Recovery IA and those authorized to operate its programs and website.

2. Faith-Based Nature of the Ministry
RGV Road to Recovery IA is expressly Christian and Bible-based. Our courses, meetings, publications, mentoring resources, and other materials may include Scripture, prayer, Christian teaching, testimony, and discussion of Jesus Christ as Savior, Lord, Teacher, and King.
People from any background may review our public resources or request information. Participation does not require agreement with every religious belief we express; however, participants must understand that the Christian nature of the ministry will not be removed or concealed.
Nothing on this website should be interpreted as representing the beliefs or policies of an outside church, treatment provider, recovery organization, housing provider, referral partner, or community agency unless expressly stated.
3. Educational and Peer-Support Purpose
Our website, courses, meetings, publications, mentoring, and communications are intended for general education, spiritual encouragement, peer support, and recovery-related information.
Unless expressly identified otherwise, RGV Road to Recovery IA does not provide:
Emergency or crisis-response services
Medical care or medical advice
Psychiatric or psychological treatment
Licensed mental-health counseling
Substance-use disorder diagnosis
Medical detoxification
Medication management
Legal, financial, or professional advice
Guaranteed placement in treatment or recovery housing
Continuous monitoring or supervision
Information provided by RGV should not replace evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a qualified physician, licensed counselor, mental-health professional, treatment provider, attorney, or other appropriately credentialed professional.
Do not begin, discontinue, or change medication, detoxification, treatment, counseling, or another professional service based solely on information obtained through this website or our programs.
4. Emergencies and Crisis Situations
RGV Road to Recovery IA is not an emergency service, crisis hotline, detoxification facility, or suicide-prevention service. Website forms, email, voicemail, course messages, and social-media messages are not continuously monitored and must not be used for emergencies.
If you or another person may be in immediate danger, experiencing a medical emergency, at risk of overdose, or unable to remain safe, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, a mental-health crisis, or severe emotional distress in the United States, call or text 988 or visit https://988lifeline.org.
Never delay seeking emergency or professional assistance while waiting for a response from RGV Road to Recovery IA.
5. No Guarantee of Results
Recovery is personal and depends on many circumstances beyond our control. We do not promise or guarantee sobriety, healing, reconciliation, employment, housing, improved health, restored relationships, spiritual growth, or any other specific result.
Testimonials, personal stories, examples, and descriptions of successful outcomes reflect individual experiences. They should not be understood as promises that another person will obtain the same outcome.
Participants remain responsible for their decisions, conduct, health, safety, treatment choices, and use of the information provided.
6. Age and Youth Participation
Participants Ages 18 and Older
Adults may ordinarily create their own accounts, submit requests, and enroll in available programs, subject to eligibility requirements and these terms.
Participants Ages 13 Through 17
A person between 13 and 17 years of age may use an account, enroll in a course, submit recovery-related information, or participate in a youth program only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
RGV may require written permission, verification of the responsible adult’s identity, emergency-contact information, or continued adult involvement before approving participation.
By authorizing a minor’s participation, the parent or legal guardian:
Confirms that they have authority to provide permission;
Accepts these Terms of Use on behalf of the minor;
Agrees to supervise the minor’s appropriate use of the website and programs;
Understands the faith-based and educational nature of the program; and
Accepts responsibility for obtaining any professional treatment or emergency assistance the minor may need.
Children Under 13
Children under 13 may not independently create an account, register for a course, submit personal information, or enroll through the website.
Individual consideration may be requested by:
A parent;
A legal guardian or legal custodian; or
A qualified addiction-treatment, recovery, behavioral-health, or youth-services agency acting with proper authority.
Requests must be sent to office@rgvroadtorecovery.org.
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. RGV will evaluate each request individually. Before a child under 13 may participate or personal information may be collected, RGV may require verifiable parental or legal-custodian consent, confirmation of the requesting agency’s authority, appropriate adult supervision, and additional privacy or safety protections.
A child under 13 should not email RGV or submit a website form independently. The responsible adult or authorized agency must initiate the request.
RGV may decline or discontinue youth participation when it determines that the available program, supervision, privacy protection, or level of support is not appropriate for the child’s circumstances.
7. Accounts and Registration
When creating or maintaining an account, you agree to:
Provide accurate and current information;
Use an account only for yourself or for a minor whom you are legally authorized to represent;
Protect your username and password;
Notify us if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization;
Refrain from sharing another participant’s account; and
Update information when reasonably necessary.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.
RGV may approve, deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to protect participants, preserve program integrity, comply with law, address inactivity, or respond to violations of these terms.
Availability of registration does not guarantee acceptance into a particular course, meeting, mentoring relationship, referral program, or service.
8. Courses, Meetings, Mentoring, and Group Participation
Participants must interact respectfully and avoid conduct that threatens, harasses, exploits, humiliates, or endangers another person.
The following conduct is prohibited:
Threats, violence, harassment, stalking, or intimidation;
Discrimination or targeted abuse;
Sexual harassment or sexually inappropriate communications;
Solicitation of illegal drugs or other unlawful activity;
Sharing another participant’s personal story or identity without permission;
Recording meetings or conversations without authorization;
Impersonating another person or misrepresenting credentials;
Promoting commercial products or services without permission;
Disrupting meetings, courses, or online services;
Attempting to obtain unauthorized access to accounts or systems; or
Using RGV programs to exploit or establish an inappropriate relationship with a vulnerable person or minor.
Facilitators and mentors are ordinarily volunteers, peers, ministry leaders, or trained participants unless specifically identified as licensed professionals. Participation does not create a physician-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other licensed professional relationship.
RGV may remove a participant from a meeting, course, or program when necessary for safety, privacy, respectful participation, or program integrity.
9. Privacy and Limits of Confidentiality
We seek to treat recovery-related information respectfully, but website submissions, ordinary email, group meetings, online platforms, and peer-support communications cannot be guaranteed to be completely confidential or secure.
Participants should share only information they are comfortable providing and should not disclose another person’s private information without permission.
RGV staff, facilitators, volunteers, or service providers may access information when reasonably necessary to administer programs, respond to requests, protect safety, maintain the website, enforce these terms, or comply with legal obligations.
Information may be disclosed when reasonably believed necessary to:
Respond to an immediate safety concern;
Report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or danger when required or permitted by law;
Comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal requirement;
Investigate fraud, security incidents, or prohibited conduct; or
Protect the rights and safety of RGV, a participant, or another person.
RGV is not representing that it is a healthcare provider, health plan, or HIPAA-covered entity. Information submitted to RGV should not automatically be assumed to receive the protections applicable to medical records held by a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider.

10. User-Submitted Information
If you submit a form, testimony, comment, application, course response, message, photograph, document, or other material, you represent that:
The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
You have the right to provide it;
It does not unlawfully violate another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights; and
It does not contain malicious code, unlawful material, or intentionally harmful content.
Submitting private information through a form or course does not authorize RGV to publish it publicly.
RGV will seek separate permission before publicly using an identifiable testimony, photograph, video, or personal recovery story, except where the person has intentionally posted it in a public area of the website.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website’s original text, course content, curricula, graphics, designs, videos, downloads, logos, trademarks, and other materials are owned by or licensed to RGV Road to Recovery IA, SS Eisenhauer Enterprises LLC, the identified author or publisher, or another rights holder.
You may access materials for your own personal, educational, or recovery-related use. You may not, without prior written permission:
Reproduce or distribute a complete course, book, workbook, or substantial portion of protected material;
Sell, sublicense, republish, or commercially exploit the materials;
Remove copyright, trademark, authorship, or attribution notices;
Present the material as your own work;
Upload protected materials to another website, course platform, artificial-intelligence system, file-sharing service, or public repository;
Create unauthorized derivative curricula or publications; or
Use RGV names, logos, or trademarks in a manner suggesting endorsement or authorization.
Any separate written license or permission granted to a church, ministry, agency, recovery program, facilitator, or other organization controls over this general provision for the materials covered by that permission.

12. External Websites, Referrals, Housing, and Third Parties
The website may link or refer to outside treatment providers, recovery housing, churches, community agencies, booksellers, Amazon, Givebutter, LifeLegacy, video platforms, fundraising partners, affiliate programs, and other third parties.
A link, directory listing, referral, or mention does not automatically constitute a guarantee, certification, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Outside organizations are responsible for their own services, qualifications, admissions decisions, fees, privacy practices, website content, safety standards, and legal compliance. RGV does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites or services.
Users should independently evaluate treatment providers, housing programs, counselors, organizations, products, and services before making a decision or payment.
RGV RtR Housing Network and other separately operated organizations may have their own eligibility requirements, agreements, policies, fees, and legal responsibilities.
13. Fundraising and Affiliate Relationships
Some links may support RGV through fundraising proceeds, referral compensation, commissions, or affiliate revenue. When applicable, we will seek to disclose that relationship near the link or offer.
The presence of a fundraising or affiliate relationship does not change the amount you pay unless expressly stated.
RGV does not guarantee the quality, availability, delivery, safety, or suitability of products or services supplied by outside sellers.
14. Donations and Payments
Donations are voluntary and do not purchase treatment, guarantee program admission, or entitle the donor to influence a participant’s services or organizational decisions.
Payments may be processed by independent payment providers. Those providers may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. RGV may not receive or retain complete payment-card information.
Donations are generally considered final. If a donation was made in error, duplicated, or submitted without proper authorization, contact office@rgvroadtorecovery.org promptly. Refund requests will be reviewed individually and may be subject to payment-processor limitations and applicable law.
If a contribution includes goods or services, fundraising materials or the applicable receipt should identify the relevant details. Donors are responsible for consulting their own tax adviser regarding deductibility.
Purchases of books, merchandise, or services from an outside retailer are governed by that retailer’s payment, shipping, return, and refund policies.
15. Email and Other Communications
When you submit a form, register for an account, enroll in a course, request assistance, volunteer, donate, or participate in a program, you authorize RGV to send communications reasonably related to your request or participation.
Email is our primary method of communication. Delivery and response times are not guaranteed.
You may unsubscribe from optional promotional messages by using the unsubscribe method provided. Administrative, safety-related, transactional, or account-related communications may still be sent when necessary.
Email and website forms must not be used for emergencies.
16. Website Availability and Security
We attempt to keep the website and programs available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
RGV may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any page, feature, course, meeting, resource, or service without prior notice when reasonably necessary.
You may not attempt to:
Bypass access controls;
Probe or interfere with website security;
Introduce viruses or malicious code;
Scrape protected course content;
Overload the website;
Access another person’s account; or
Use automated systems in a manner that harms the website or its users.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the website, resources, courses, meetings, referrals, and related services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
RGV disclaims warranties that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, suitable for every participant, or sufficient to address a particular medical, psychological, legal, spiritual, housing, family, or recovery need.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RGV Road to Recovery IA and its directors, officers, staff, volunteers, facilitators, mentors, contractors, authors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the website, programs, resources, referrals, or third-party services.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the website, violation of these terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or misuse of RGV materials.
This provision does not require a person to indemnify RGV for conduct for which indemnification cannot lawfully be required.
20. Suspension and Termination
RGV may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to an account, course, meeting, referral program, volunteer role, or other service when reasonably believed necessary because of:
A violation of these terms;
False or misleading registration information;
Threatening, abusive, exploitative, or unsafe conduct;
Unauthorized use of protected materials;
Security or privacy concerns;
Extended inactivity;
Legal requirements; or
Discontinuation of a program.
When appropriate, RGV may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue, but immediate action may be taken when safety, privacy, security, or legal compliance is involved.
21. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any legal proceeding concerning these terms or the website must be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Iowa, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Before filing a legal claim, the parties are encouraged to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith written communication.
22. Severability and No Waiver
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. The unenforceable provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable when legally permitted.
Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
23. Changes to These Terms
RGV may update these Terms of Use as its programs, website, technology, or legal obligations change.
The revised terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or by email when appropriate.
Continued use of the website or programs after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where additional consent is required by law.
