We often wish that surrender was a one-and-done event. We want to sign a contract with God on a Sunday and be permanently cured of our selfishness by Monday. But Jesus is clear: following Him is a daily subscription.
Every single morning, our ego wakes up fully recharged, ready to take back control. Every day, we have to make the conscious decision to deny our impulsive desires, pick up our cross, and follow His lead instead of our own.
Daily surrender builds lasting freedom. It isn’t a punishment; it is the path to peace. When we deny the part of us that wants to control, manipulate, and dominate, we make room for the Spirit to guide us into sanity. You don’t have to surrender your whole life today you only have to surrender this day.
