We often think of the decision to turn our will over to God as a one-time event. But Jesus says it is a daily act.
Every morning, we wake up with our self-will recharged. We want to run the show again. The only requirement for membership in this new life is a desire to recover, but the maintenance of this life requires a daily decision to turn our lives over to the care of God.
Denying yourself isn’t about punishment; it’s about alignment. It’s choosing His peace over your control.
