Most of us spend years running from the truth about ourselves. We hide behind excuses, blame others, or numb our feelings so we don’t have to face what’s inside.
But true healing begins with a searching and fearless moral inventory.
This isn’t about beating yourself up. It’s about asking God to turn the light on in the basement of your soul. Just as each group in our fellowship needs autonomy to function well, each of us needs the personal integrity to own our own story—the good, the bad, and the ugly.
When we invite God to “search us,” we aren’t risking rejection; we are inviting healing. Honesty is the antiseptic that cleans out the infection of the past.
