There is often a gap between when we pray and when we see the answer. That gap is called “waiting.” It is uncomfortable. We want the fix right now. We want the relationship restored today. We want the job offer tomorrow.
But coming to believe involves confidence. We remain confident that we will see the goodness of the Lord, even if we don’t see it this second. We trust that God is working behind the scenes even when the stage looks empty.
We trust the guidance of God. He knows the timing better than we do. Waiting isn’t passive boredom; it takes strength. It takes heart. It is an active trust that says, “I’m not moving until You move, and I’m not going to panic while I wait.”
