How do you start your day? Do you start with the chaos of the news? The stress of email? The noise of social media? When we do that, we let the world set the tone for our spirit.
We are encouraged to practice prayer and meditation. There is power in the morning. When we lay our requests before God first, we anchor our soul before the storms of the day hit. We get our marching orders from the General before we step onto the battlefield.
Notice the word “expectantly.” We don’t just pray and walk away; we watch for the answer. We live with eyes wide open. Nothing is more attractive than a person who walks through the day with the quiet confidence that God heard them this morning and is working on their behalf.
