Trading Anxiety for Peace

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” — Philippians 4:6–7

Anxiety is often a signal that we are trying to run the universe again. The antidote is prayer and meditation.
Instead of spiraling into worry, we turn that energy into a conversation with God. We focus on “attraction rather than promotion”—we don’t have to force a solution; we attract God’s peace by trusting Him.
Notice the ingredient of “thanksgiving.” It is hard to be anxious and grateful at the same time. Gratitude shifts our focus from what is missing to what is present.

Father, I trade my anxiety for Your peace. I present my requests to You with a thankful heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Father, meet me in prayer and steady my heart with Your peace, AMEN.
