Service and burden-bearing

Dear ,
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Isolation is the darkroom where the disease of addiction develops. When we are alone, our cravings feel overwhelming. But recovery brings us into a fellowship where we learn we were never meant to carry our heavy loads by ourselves.
There is a profound spiritual paradox at work here: serving others strengthens recovery. When you bend down to help someone else carry their heavy burden, your own burden miraculously feels lighter. Your painful past is not a waste; it is the credential that allows you to help someone suffering exactly like you used to.

Look for someone whose burden seems heavy today. Send them an encouraging text or do a quiet act of service to lighten their load.

Jesus, help me carry hope and share burdens with humility. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You deserve a life free
from addiction
Sincerely,
