We cannot control how others react to us. We can only control our own willingness.
This is the key to making our list of amends. We become willing to make amends to them all, regardless of whether they forgive us or not. We stay “nonprofessional”—human, vulnerable, and honest. We don’t demand a result; we simply clear our side of the street.
“As far as it depends on you” means you do the hard work of apologizing and changing your behavior. The rest is up to God.
