RGV Road to Recovery IA uses donations, fundraising programs, legacy-giving opportunities, and selected partner relationships to support its Christ-centered recovery mission.

This disclosure explains when RGV may receive financial support or another benefit when a visitor uses a link appearing on our website, in an email, or in a social-media post.

1. Why We Provide Fundraising Links

Fundraising proceeds may be used to support:

  • Christ-centered recovery education;

  • Relapse-prevention resources;

  • Family-support resources;

  • Community and church outreach;

  • Meetings and mentoring;

  • Educational materials;

  • Website and program administration;

  • Assistance for people who cannot afford available resources; and

  • Other lawful activities supporting RGV’s mission.

Using a fundraising link is voluntary. Visitors are never required to make a purchase or use a partner service to access RGV’s publicly available recovery information.

2. Financial and Material Relationships

Some outside links may create a financial or material benefit for RGV Road to Recovery IA.

Depending on the particular arrangement, RGV may receive:

  • A percentage of a qualifying purchase;

  • A fundraising credit;

  • A referral payment;

  • A commission;

  • A donation from the seller;

  • Free or discounted services;

  • Administrative support;

  • Access to fundraising technology; or

  • A potential future charitable or legacy gift.

A relationship will be disclosed near the relevant link when a visitor’s use of that link may benefit RGV.

A link to this complete disclosure does not replace the short disclosure that should appear close to the fundraising link.

3. Rada Cutlery Fundraising

RGV may participate in a Rada Cutlery fundraising program.

When a visitor uses the identified RGV fundraising link and completes a qualifying purchase, RGV may receive a portion of the sale or another fundraising benefit.

The visitor’s purchase price is determined by Rada Cutlery. RGV does not control:

  • Product descriptions;

  • Product availability;

  • Pricing;

  • Taxes;

  • Payment processing;

  • Shipping;

  • Returns;

  • Exchanges;

  • Warranties;

  • Product safety; or

  • Customer service.

Purchases are transactions between the purchaser and Rada Cutlery and are governed by Rada Cutlery’s terms and policies.

4. Flower Power Fundraising

RGV may participate in a Flower Power Fundraising program.

When a visitor makes a qualifying purchase through RGV’s identified Flower Power fundraising page or link, RGV may receive fundraising proceeds or credit.

Flower Power controls its products, prices, ordering system, payment processing, shipping, delivery, guarantees, substitutions, returns, and customer service.

Seasonal availability, planting conditions, climate, soil, maintenance, and other circumstances may affect gardening results. RGV does not guarantee the performance of seeds, bulbs, plants, or related products.

Purchases are governed by Flower Power’s terms and policies.

5. LifeLegacy Partnership

RGV may provide access to LifeLegacy or another planned-giving service to help supporters learn about wills, estate planning, beneficiary designations, or charitable legacy gifts.

RGV’s relationship with LifeLegacy should not be interpreted as legal, tax, investment, or estate-planning advice.

LifeLegacy is an independent service provider and controls its own:

  • Website;

  • Technology;

  • Eligibility requirements;

  • Forms;

  • Privacy practices;

  • Terms of service; and

  • User support.

RGV may benefit if a supporter voluntarily includes RGV in a will, trust, beneficiary designation, estate plan, or other legacy arrangement.

Using LifeLegacy does not require a person to make a gift to RGV. A person should consult an independent attorney, tax professional, or financial adviser concerning individual circumstances.

RGV does not guarantee that a document or plan created through an outside service is appropriate, valid, enforceable, or sufficient for a particular person.

6. Future Fundraising and Affiliate Relationships

RGV may add, change, or discontinue fundraising and affiliate relationships.

If RGV receives or may receive compensation or another material benefit from a future relationship, RGV will seek to provide a clear disclosure near the relevant recommendation or link.

Examples of appropriate disclosure language include:

  • “Fundraising link—RGV may receive a portion of qualifying purchases.”

  • “Affiliate link—RGV may earn compensation if you use this link.”

  • “Sponsored.”

  • “Paid partnership.”

  • “RGV received this product or service at no charge.”

RGV will not intentionally conceal a financial relationship that could affect how a reasonable visitor evaluates a recommendation.

7. No Additional Charge Unless Disclosed

Using a fundraising or affiliate link does not ordinarily increase the purchaser’s price solely because the link benefits RGV.

However, RGV does not control the seller’s pricing, discounts, fees, taxes, or other charges.

Visitors should review the complete price and terms shown by the seller before completing a purchase.

8. Purchases Are Not Direct Donations

A purchase made from Rada Cutlery, Flower Power, or another outside seller is a commercial transaction with that seller. It is not the same as making a direct donation to RGV.

RGV may receive only a portion of the purchase price.

Purchasers should not assume that:

  • The full purchase price is received by RGV;

  • The purchase is tax-deductible;

  • The fundraising amount equals the purchase price; or

  • RGV can issue a charitable receipt for the purchase.

The tax treatment of a transaction depends on applicable law and the circumstances. RGV does not provide tax advice.

9. Independence of Outside Organizations

Fundraising and referral partners are independently operated organizations.

Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, a link or relationship does not create:

  • A legal partnership;

  • A joint venture;

  • An employment relationship;

  • An agency relationship;

  • Authority for one organization to bind the other;

  • A guarantee by RGV; or

  • An endorsement of every product, service, policy, or statement offered by the outside organization.

RGV is not responsible for the acts, omissions, content, security, products, services, or privacy practices of an outside organization.

10. Product and Service Responsibility

RGV does not manufacture, package, ship, deliver, warrant, repair, exchange, or refund products purchased from outside fundraising partners.

Questions concerning an outside purchase should be directed to the seller.

Returns and refunds are governed by the seller’s policies, not RGV’s Donation and Refund Policy, unless RGV directly processed the transaction and expressly agreed otherwise.

11. Honest Recommendations

Any opinion or recommendation expressed by RGV should reflect an honest belief or experience.

A fundraising relationship does not authorize RGV to:

  • Make false or misleading claims;

  • Guarantee results that cannot be guaranteed;

  • Claim personal experience that did not occur;

  • Conceal known material limitations;

  • Make unsupported health or treatment claims; or

  • Misrepresent the nature of its relationship with a partner.

Visitors should independently determine whether a product or service is appropriate for their needs.

12. Health and Recovery Claims

A product or service appearing through a fundraising relationship is not automatically approved as addiction treatment, medical care, mental-health treatment, detoxification, or relapse prevention.

RGV will not represent that a commercial product diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents a medical or behavioral-health condition unless that statement is lawful and supported by appropriate evidence.

Fundraising products and partner services do not replace professional medical or behavioral-health care.

13. Social Media, Email, and Video Disclosures

When RGV promotes a fundraising partner through social media, email, or video, the disclosure should appear within the individual communication.

A disclosure should not be hidden:

  • Only on this policy page;

  • At the end of a long group of hashtags;

  • Behind a “Read More” link;

  • Only in a profile biography;

  • Only in a video description when the endorsement occurs in the video; or

  • Where an ordinary viewer is unlikely to notice it.

Video disclosures should appear in the video when the content promotes a compensated or fundraising relationship.

14. Privacy and Tracking

An outside fundraising link may contain a tracking code that allows the seller to determine that a visitor came from RGV.

When a visitor selects an outside link, the seller may collect information under its own privacy policy, including:

  • IP address;

  • Browser and device information;

  • Referral source;

  • Cookie or tracking identifiers;

  • Products viewed;

  • Purchases; and

  • Transaction information.

RGV may receive reports concerning traffic, transactions, or fundraising proceeds. The information included in those reports depends on the partner and program.

Visitors should review the outside organization’s privacy policy before submitting personal or payment information.

15. No Obligation to Participate

Supporting RGV through a fundraising partner is optional.

A person’s decision to purchase, not purchase, use, or decline a partner service will not determine eligibility for recovery education, meetings, mentoring, referrals, or other available RGV services.

16. Changes to This Disclosure

RGV may update this disclosure when fundraising relationships, compensation arrangements, partners, or legal requirements change.

The current version will be posted with its effective and last-updated dates.
