Daily inventory keeps us honest and free

RGV Road to Recovery Receive God's Vision Daily Digest

May 10

Ongoing examination

Dear ,

“Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind.” — Psalm 26:2

You wouldn’t drive a car for five years without checking the dashboard. You know that ignoring regular maintenance guarantees a breakdown. Similarly, we cannot sustain recovery without a continuous review of our inner landscape.

Asking God to examine our hearts and minds must become a daily habit. Daily inventory keeps us honest and free. It allows us to catch a fleeting resentment before it turns into bitterness and helps us promptly admit a minor wrong before it snowballs into a major lie

Do a mid-day check-in today. Pause for 60 seconds and ask yourself, “Have I been honest, kind, and steady so far today?” Correct course immediately if needed.

God, help me stay attentive to my heart and thoughts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You deserve a life free
from addiction

Sincerely,
The RGV Road to Recovery IA Team
