Picture a lit candle standing alone in a dark room. In active addiction, we were trapped in self-absorption—always seeking what we could gain, take, or demand from life. Carrying this message to others and practicing these principles in all our affairs turns our focus outward by calling us to carry the message of hope and serve those in need. Serving like Jesus breaks the chains of self-centeredness and radiates the light of freedom to those still trapped in the dark. |
