| | | “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6–7 | | Imagine a small child trying to haul a massive, iron-weighted chest up a steep, muddy hill. The child is slipping, gasping for air, and weeping under the unbearable load. Suddenly, their loving Father steps up, kneels down, and gently says, “Let go of the handles and let Me lift it.” The child doesn’t need to find extra physical strength; they simply need to release their grip and let the Father carry the load. For years, we tried to haul the heavy, crushing chests of our anxieties, fears, and control issues entirely on our own strength. Seeking through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God is how we hand over that heavy weight. When we combine our desperate requests with heartfelt thanksgiving—remembering all the ways He has already carried us—a divine exchange takes place. We hand over our panic, and He surrounds our minds with an unshakeable, guarding peace. |

| Write down three things you are deeply thankful for today, followed by the single heaviest anxiety on your heart. Hand the anxiety over to God in prayer and leave it with Him. |
