The world teaches us to climb the ladder, promote ourselves, and aggressively demand respect. We spend so much energy trying to exalt ourselves and prove our worth to everyone around us. But building a life on ego is exhausting, and the higher we build our own pedestals, the harder the inevitable fall becomes. God’s economy works in reverse: the way up is down. When we choose to humble ourselves, we stop trying to be the director of the universe. We acknowledge our limitations. We admit that we don’t have all the answers. Humility is simply living in reality—recognizing that we are deeply flawed, yet deeply loved by God. When we voluntarily take the lower seat, we no longer have to worry about defending our pride. And the beautiful promise is that when we stop trying to lift ourselves up, God Himself steps in to do the lifting. Let Him be the one to establish your worth today. |
