We live in a world that worships strength. We are taught to hide our flaws, airbrush our photos, and pretend we have it all together. We spend exhausting amounts of energy building facades to convince everyone that we are okay. But God has a different perspective. He says that our weakness is not a liability; it is the very place where His power is perfected. This is why admitting we are powerless is the first and most crucial step toward freedom. It isn’t a defeat; it is a landing strip for grace. As long as we pretend we are strong enough to handle everything on our own, God will stand back and let us try. But the moment we crack open and admit, “I can’t do this,” His power rushes in. Our common welfare depends on this kind of honesty. When you pretend to be perfect, you isolate yourself, and you make others feel unsafe. But when you are vulnerable—when you admit you are struggling—you create a bridge. You give others permission to be broken too. Don’t despise your weakness today. It is your greatest asset because it keeps you dependent on Him, and that is the safest place to be. |
