 | | | | | “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 | | Imagine a toddler who has tripped and fallen into a deep, messy mud puddle. They are soaked in dirt, crying helplessly, and completely unable to stand up on their own. A loving parent doesn’t stand on the dry sidewalk shouting orders for the child to clean themselves up before they get a hug. Without a second thought, the parent steps directly into the mud, kneels down, wraps their arms around the dirty child, and lifts them up into safety. Admitting our deep need and powerlessness reminds us of how God truly responds to our brokenness. He does not demand that we fix ourselves or put on a pristine act before He will love us. When we feel dismayed, weak, or completely covered in the mud of our past mistakes, God steps directly into our messy realities. His strong, righteous hand reaches down into our low places to strengthen, comfort, and uphold us right where we are. |

| If you feel ashamed of a weakness or failure today, stop pulling away from God. Step into His presence openly and allow Him to hold and lift you in your mess. |
