 | | | Service and burden-bearing | |
| | | “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 | | Picture two firefighters entering a smoke-filled building to rescue trapped survivors. As they fight through the intense heat and heavy debris, they don’t just look out for themselves; they constantly monitor each other’s oxygen tanks, help each other clear heavy obstacles, and physically share the load. The paradox of their mission is that by focusing on saving others and sharing the heavy burden, both firefighters stay alive and make it out safely. Having experienced a profound spiritual awakening, we quickly realize that recovery is not a solo journey meant to be hoarded in isolation. When we step outside our own self-centered world and carry this message of hope to someone who is still trapped in the dark, something incredible happens. As we help bear their heavy burdens, our own burdens suddenly feel lighter. Practicing these principles and serving others isn’t just a duty—it is the very oxygen that keeps our own recovery vibrant and strong. |

| Reach out to someone in recovery who might be going through a tough time today. Offer a listening ear, send an encouraging message, or offer practical help without asking for anything in return. |
