RGV Road to Recovery IA | Receive God’s Vision

Our Faith & Recovery Principles

Rooted in Scripture. Centered on Jesus Christ. Committed to freedom from addiction, restoration, discipleship, and renewed purpose.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

John 8:36 (KJV) — Words of Jesus Christ

Our Christian Foundation

Faith. Freedom. Restoration.

RGV Road to Recovery IA, meaning Receive God’s Vision, is a Christ-centered recovery and restoration ministry dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome addiction, destructive behaviors, and spiritual brokenness.

We believe lasting transformation involves more than abstinence. It includes repentance, spiritual growth, personal responsibility, healthy relationships, reconciliation, and a renewed life of service through Jesus Christ.

We welcome individuals who struggle with questions, disappointment, anger toward God, or uncertainty about faith. Our ministry offers compassion, biblical truth, accountability, and the hope of new life through Jesus Christ.

Sobriety is not the finish line. Recovery is the context. Discipleship is the destination. Jesus Christ is the foundation.

The Biblical Foundation of Our Ministry

Our Five Guiding Principles

Five biblical commitments guide our ministry, fellowship, recovery education, and service to others.

✝

Faith First

Recovery is rooted in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Faith provides the foundation for repentance, transformation, and lasting hope.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

♥

Community Matters

We grow through Christian fellowship, encouragement, prayer, accountability, and mutual support rather than isolation.

“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

Acts 2:42 (KJV)

✓

Integrity Always

Honesty, accountability, and responsible choices are essential to rebuilding trust and restoring relationships.

“He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.”

Proverbs 10:9 (KJV)

★

Service Beyond Self

We demonstrate Christ’s love by serving others with humility, compassion, generosity, and a willingness to help those who struggle.

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.”

Galatians 5:13 (KJV)

☀

Hope for All

No person is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Regardless of past mistakes, addiction, homelessness, disability, broken relationships, or spiritual struggles, everyone is invited to seek salvation and a new beginning through Jesus Christ.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:13 (KJV)
