Practicing humility

Dear ,
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” — James 4:10
The world teaches us to climb the ladder, promote ourselves, and aggressively demand respect. We spend so much energy trying to exalt ourselves and prove our worth. But building a life on ego is exhausting, and the higher we build our own pedestals, the harder the inevitable fall becomes.
God’s economy works in reverse: the way up is down. When we choose to humble ourselves, we stop trying to be the director of the universe. Humility makes room for grace. When we voluntarily take the lower seat, the beautiful promise is that God Himself steps in to do the lifting.

Look for an opportunity today to serve someone else without taking any credit. Practice the quiet, liberating joy of being unimpressive.

Lord, I humble myself—lift me according to Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You deserve a life free
from addiction
Sincerely,
